Best Places for Elopement Photography in Central Florida (Hidden Gems & Beautiful Locations)
Planning an elopement? First of all, congratulations. You've already avoided seating charts, arguing over whether your second cousin's neighbour should be invited, and spending your entire wedding day introducing yourselves to people you've never actually met. You're off to a great start.
One of my favourite things about photographing elopements is that every couple does things a little differently. Some exchange vows barefoot on the beach. Some get married at the courthouse and celebrate with tacos afterwards. Some bring their dog, some bring their kids, and some just bring each other. Honestly, there's no wrong way to do it.
As an Orlando elopement photographer, I've spent years exploring Central Florida looking for beautiful locations that don't always appear on the first page of Google. While the popular spots are popular for good reason, there are also plenty of quieter places where you won't have an audience of twenty strangers applauding every kiss.
Here are some of my favourites.
1. Kraft Azalea Garden – Winter Park
📍 Address: 1365 Alabama Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789
If you've been researching Orlando elopement locations, you've probably seen Kraft Azalea Garden pop up more than once.
There's a reason.
The towering cypress trees, Spanish moss, lake views, and iconic white Exedra monument make it one of the prettiest ceremony spots in Central Florida.
It feels elegant without feeling stuffy, and even though it's well known, it can still feel surprisingly peaceful on weekday mornings.
Best time to photograph: Sunrise or weekday mornings.

2. Dickson Azalea Park – Orlando
📍 Address: 100 Rosearden Drive, Orlando, FL 32803
This might just be Orlando's most underrated little park.
Hidden away near downtown, Dickson Azalea Park feels like you've accidentally wandered into a secret garden. Stone bridges, winding paths, mature oak trees, and seasonal flowers make it photograph beautifully year-round.
It's also one of those places where you'll probably spend more time hearing birds than traffic.
Best time: Morning or late afternoon.
3. Harry P. Leu Gardens
📍 Address: 1920 North Forest Avenue, Orlando, FL 32803
If flowers make you happy, this one's worth a look.
Leu Gardens offers beautifully maintained gardens, brick pathways, towering oak trees, and enough variety that your gallery will look like you visited multiple locations.
Just remember to check permit requirements before planning your ceremony.
Best time: Morning.
4. Cypress Grove Park
📍 Address: 290 Holden Avenue, Orlando, FL 32839
Cypress Grove somehow manages to feel tucked away despite being right in Orlando.
Between the oak trees, lake views, historic house, and wide open lawns, it's easy to see why it's become such a popular choice for intimate weddings.
And no, you don't need a Pinterest board with 4,000 pins to make this place look beautiful.
Nature's already done most of the decorating.
Best time: Golden hour.
5. Mead Botanical Garden
📍 Address: 1300 South Denning Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789
One of my favorite things about Mead Botanical Garden is how much variety there is.
One minute you're surrounded by bamboo, the next you're walking over wooden boardwalks, then suddenly you're standing beneath giant oak trees.
It's perfect for couples who want a relaxed, natural feel without hiking through the wilderness in wedding shoes.
Best time: Late afternoon.
6. Lake Runnymede Conservation Area
📍 Address: 6189 Lake Lizzie Drive, St. Cloud, FL 34771
This is one of Central Florida's best-kept secrets.
No crowds.
No tourist buses.
No one asking if you're filming a movie.
Just huge oak trees, peaceful lake views, wildlife, and incredible sunsets.
If you're dreaming of something quiet and intimate, this place deserves to be near the top of your list.
Best time: One hour before sunset.
7. St. Cloud Lakefront
📍 Address: 1104 Lakeshore Boulevard, St. Cloud, FL 34769
The St. Cloud Lakefront is one of those places that's easy to overlook until you actually visit.
Palm trees, a marina, boardwalks, open lawns, and beautiful water views all come together to create a location that's relaxed, scenic, and incredibly photogenic.
Bonus points if you want to finish the evening with dinner nearby.
Best time: Sunset.
8. Lake Louisa State Park
📍 Address: 7305 U.S. Highway 27, Clermont, FL 34714
Florida isn't exactly famous for mountains, but Lake Louisa has rolling hills that make it feel surprisingly different from much of the state.
Add in lakes, pine forests, open meadows, and quiet trails, and you've got an amazing location for adventurous couples.
Just maybe leave the stilettos at home.
Best time: Golden hour.
9. Downtown Winter Park (Park Avenue)
📍 Address: Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789
Not every elopement has to happen in nature.
Park Avenue offers brick streets, charming cafés, fountains, beautiful architecture, and a timeless feel that's perfect for couples wanting a more urban setting.
Plus, celebrating your marriage over coffee, cocktails, or dessert just steps away sounds like a pretty good plan to me.
Best time: Early morning or just before sunset.
10. Celebration
📍 Address: Market Street, Celebration, FL 34747
Celebration has a charm that's hard to describe until you've wandered around it.
Colorful buildings, lakeside paths, little bridges, rocking chairs, and quiet streets give it a relaxed, small-town feel while still being close to Orlando.
It's especially lovely during the holidays when everything is decorated.
Best time: Sunset.
11. Downtown Orlando
📍 Address: Lake Eola Park, 512 East Washington Street, Orlando, FL 32801
If you're after a modern city vibe, downtown Orlando has plenty to offer.
Lake Eola, skyline views, murals, fountains, and nearby streets create endless opportunities for unique portraits.
It's a great choice if your style leans more "city date night" than "barefoot in a field."
Best time: Blue hour after sunset or early morning.
12. Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake
📍 Address: 3401 South Hiawassee Road, Orlando, FL 32835
This park doesn't get nearly enough attention.
You'll find towering trees, lake views, fishing docks, walking trails, and plenty of quiet corners that work beautifully for intimate ceremonies.
It's one of those places that makes you forget you're still in Orlando.
Best time: Sunset.
13. Orange County Courthouse
📍 Address: 425 North Orange Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801
Courthouse weddings have come a long way from quick paperwork and heading home.
Many couples choose to say "I do" at the courthouse before heading out around downtown Orlando for portraits, dinner, or even a little bar crawl with family and friends.
Simple doesn't mean less meaningful.
14. Osceola County Courthouse

For couples staying in Kissimmee, the Osceola County Courthouse is another great option.
After your ceremony, you're only a short drive from Celebration, Kissimmee Lakefront, or Lake Runnymede for beautiful portraits.
It makes planning your day incredibly easy.
15. Blue Jacket Park
📍 Address: 2501 General Rees Avenue, Orlando, FL 32814
Blue Jacket Park often flies under the radar, but it's a fantastic choice for couples wanting open green spaces, mature oak trees, and gorgeous evening light.
It's simple, peaceful, and lets the focus stay exactly where it belongs: on the two of you.
A Few Tips for Planning Your Orlando Elopement
Florida weather likes to keep us all on our toes. It's entirely possible to have sunshine, a dramatic thunderstorm, and another sunny sky all within the space of an hour. The good news? Those post-rain skies can make for some of the most beautiful photographs of the day.
Weekdays are usually quieter than weekends, especially at parks and gardens, and sunrise sessions almost always mean fewer people wandering into the background of your photos. While I can work a little Photoshop magic, it's much easier if Uncle Bob from someone else's picnic isn't standing behind your first kiss.
If you're planning an outdoor ceremony, it's also worth checking whether your chosen location requires a permit for ceremonies or professional photography. Some parks and gardens do, and taking care of that in advance makes for a much more relaxed day.
